Technology Services utilizes an Incident Communication Plan to facilitate timely communication regarding technology maintenance and service interruptions to Puget Sound Critical Services. As part of this plan, Technology Services posts announcements on this page and encourages Puget Sound community members to request to be added to the TS Communications distribution list.

    Puget Sound Systems and Applications: Planned Maintenance

    Sunday, August 14, 2022 from 6 a.m.-6 p.m.

    SYSTEMS IMPACTED: The following systems will be intermittently unavailable during the maintenance window:  

    Campus file servers

    Email and calendar

    Canvas

    pugetsound.edu

    myPugetSound.edu  

    PeopleSoft Human Resources

    PeopleSoft Financials

    PeopleSoft Campus Solutions

    vDESK

    Various Puget Sound systems and applications

    REASON FOR IMPACT: To ensure a secure, reliable computing environment TS will be completing routine patch maintenance on our Puget Sound production servers.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

    ·       The university network, internet access and wireless will NOT be affected.

    ·       Technology Services schedules regular maintenance windows, generally on the second Sunday of every other month, to ensure a secure, reliable computing environment. Thank you for your patience as we conduct this important work.

    REASON FOR IMPACT: Technology Services is working with Okta, our identity provider, to understand why people have received intermittent errors when accessing applications in login.pugetsound.eduIf an error is received when accessing login.pugetsound.edu or when accessing a Puget Sound owned application, please try refreshing the page to resolve the issue. TS will provide an update once the intermittent issues have been resolved.

    REASON FOR IMPACT: Technology’s Services needs to update myPugetSound and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions to a more recent version so we have a secure and reliable environment. Minor changes to the look and feel are noted under Additional Information. 

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

    • First step if having issues accessing myPugetSound: If you have issues connecting to myPugetSound or PeopleSoft Campus Solutions after the planned maintenance please try clearing your browser cache.
    • Navigation Changes: The menu in myPugetSound under the compass icon will now be sorted alphabetically. Find out more about this by watching a video on changes to myPugetSound navigation
